Sam and Rachel started their friendship in 2017 with occasional hellos. Rachel had a raging crush on Sam. She would admire his fabulous hair and striking brown eyes; but had never said more to him than 'Hi!' They both went their separate ways.

Fast forward to 2023 when Sam asked Rachel if she wanted to go hiking. On the hike, Rachel asked Sam if he wanted a fire. He said, 'Yes!' thinking she meant at his house's backyard in his Solostove. When she rolled up her sleeves, squatted down in the middle of the woods and started a very nice fire with her bare hands and a mini bic lighter, Sam knew he needed to put a ring on her.

One year later, they went back to the woods where they had that first 'date'. Rachel and Sam spent the whole day fixing a dilapidated bridge. Very romantic! After they were finished, Rachel started to make dinner for the night. As she was stirring the mac and cheese in the middle of the woods, she thought how lucky she was to have found a man that loves nature and getting dirty with her. Someone who isn't afraid of the dark.

Meanwhile, Sam was pacing back and forth watching Rachel cook. In the middle of the woods when most people would be frightened, Rachel was at peace with dirty feet and the wind in her hair. He walked over to his hiking pack and dug around until he found what he was looking for. He grabbed the little velvet box and walked over to kneel down behind Rachel.

Now, we are planning our wedding! Our two dogs (Orlin and Otto) are very excited to become brothers. We can't wait to see you on our special day!
